►By BART: (www.bart.gov)

We encourage attendees to take BART if possible. The building is two short blocks from the Oakland City Center/12th Street BART station.

For out-of-town attendees staying in downtown Oakland, BART gives you convenient access to Oakland International Airport, San Francisco, San Francisco International Airport, Berkeley, and other Bay Area cities.

►If you are flying into the Bay Area:

The closest airport to the Summer Institute location is Oakland International Airport. One can also fly into San Francisco International or other Bay Area airports. Several shuttle companies operate between the major airports and downtown Oakland. It is now possible to take BART to and from San Francisco International Airport, as well as Oakland International Airport.

PARKING

There is a parking garage on Clay Street across from the State Office Building, and City Center parking around the corner on 15th Street. Rates range from $16 - $20 per day.

SECURITY CHECK

Please be advised that you need to allow 15-20 minutes extra, as you will have to go through a security check point before entering the State Office Building.
